Meet the Legends Reception 2015

Thank you to all those who attended the 2015 Meet the Legends Reception. We hope to see you again next year!

Living Legends of Alexandria is an ongoing photo-documentary project conceived to create an enduring artistic record of the people whose vision and dedication make a positive, tangible difference to the quality of life in Alexandria.

Over the last year there were 28 nominations and seven were selected as Living Legends of 2015. We are proud to add these names to the roster of 170 individuals and teams who have been chronicled in the 8-year history of Living Legends.

Each of the nominees will be introduced and honored at this “Meet the Legends” reception. A photograph and profile of each nominee will be published in the Meet The Legends catalog that is donated to the Alexandria Library, collected by the Library of Virginia in Richmond and available at the U.S. Library of Congress.

TICKETS: Tickets are $45 through March 12, 2015. Ticket prices will increase to $50 from Friday, March 13 – Tuesday, March 17. Tickets will be $55 at the door.

LOCATION: The location of the reception is in the lower Atrium of the Madison Building of the U.S. Patent & Trademark Office. Although the street address is 600 Dulany Street, and although you may enter from Dulany Street, the actual location of the reception is on the opposite side of the building accessible from Eisenhower Avenue between Elizabeth Lane and John Carlyle Street. If you do enter from Dulany Street, go straight ahead and take the stairs down to the lower Atrium (there is an elevator to your left, just before the stairs).

PARKING: Parking is free in both the East Garage (on John Carlyle Street just south of Ballenger Avenue) and West Garage (on Elizabeth Lane just south of Ballenger Avenue). You will need to take a parking ticket in order to enter the garage; we will provide you with a parking pass when you register at the event.

VALET PARKING: There will be complimentary valet parking in front of the Madison Building on Eisenhower Avenue between John Carlyle Street and Elizabeth Lane.
