Tavares Floyd

Tavares M. Floyd, Esq. is currently a Lawyer at Floyd Legal Services, specializing in Civil Rights. Floyd is also the CEO/Founder of the BeWell Project. He serves on several boards including Charles Houston Recreation Center; Concerned Citizens Network of Alexandria (CCNA); the Departmental Progressive Club of Alexandria Board of Governors; ECHO Virginia Coalition; Ambassador for the Trevor Project (DC); and the City of Alexandria’s Commission on HIV/AIDS.

Martha Lloyd

As a visionary and strategist, Martha Lloyd has lead or contributed to strategic plans, new business development, capture plans as well as robust go-to-market approaches to industry specific markets. Ms. Lloyd has three (3) decades of experience developing a strong track record closing large, multifaceted government and commercial contracts. She has worked with a varied customer base, senior level management and complex business operations.

Gregory Murphy**

Gregg Murphy has for over 30 years been a practicing attorney (labor and employment focus), who has been peer-recognized as a “super lawyer” multiple times. Murphy has extensive nonprofit board leadership roles, including board Chair of Alexandria Hospital; and board member and subsequent Chair of Senior Services of Alexandria. Murphy is active in additional volunteer positions and pro bona activities.

Jeanne Theismann

Jeanne Theismann is an award-winning journalist who serves as Special Assistant to the Publisher of the Connection Newspapers. Ms. Theismann is a member of the Alexandria Rotary Club and serves on the board of directors for the Alexandria Police Foundation, the Friendship Veterans Fire Engine Association, the Alexandria Sportsman’s Club and the Alexandria Chamber of Commerce.

Nina Tisara, Founder, Living Legends of Alexandria

Artist/Photographer Nina Tisara’s love of photography and the people of Alexandria, led her to develop a photo-documentary history of people who make extraordinary contributions to the City. The Living Legends project both chronicles and celebrates the work of these leaders to improve lives in Alexandria. Beginning her career as a part-time photojournalist, Nina has photographed Alexandria people and places since 1980. The recipient of numerous grants and awards, Nina received Volunteer Alexandria’s Lifetime Achievement award in 2011.
